  • President Franklin Roosevelt and Winston Church meet for a strategic conference in Casablanca where they decide to insist on unconditional surrender by the Axis powers.

Life Details


  • Lee Ruckman, Jr. was born in 1918 to parents Lee Van Horne Ruckman Sr. and Clarice Virginia Atkinson.
  • Pastor Ruckman’s father had also been a Methodist minister.
  • Pastor Ruckman died on August 7, 2003.
  • While at Ivy Creek, Pastor Ruckman conducted the marriage ceremony for Clark and Mary Wyant at the University of Virginia Chapel in December 1945.
