Life Details
- Frank Burruss was born on January 28, 1870 near Penola in Caroline County, Virginia.
- His brother Granville Burruss also entered the Methodist ministry.
- He attended Randolph-Macon College from 1891 to 1896.
- He married Elizabeth Walker in November 1900 and they had 6 children:

- Henry
- George Granville
- Pastor Burruss served several charges in the Virginia Conference and spent 2 years (1912-1914) in the Oklahoma Conference.
- In 1834, while serving the Albemarle Circuit, his health failed and he was compelled to take the superannuate relation. He died July 14, 1938.
- He was described as “a man of fine intellect and sound judgment. There was nothing flash or superficial about his preaching, and those who gave earnest heed to his words regarded him as a strong, thoughtful, and helpful preacher. He was a man of positive convictions, courageous, and decidedly outspoken against sham, hypocrisy, and sin that curse men’s souls; but he did not fail to emphasize God’s redeeming love through Jesus Christ, and many were turned to God and built up in faith."
