- Charles H. Fielding was born on April 16, 1876 in Virginia.
- Just before coming to Ivy Creek, in 1900, he was living in Poolesville, Maryland and working as a clergyman.
- He married May Rector (born 1885) in 1906.
- In 1918, he registered for the draft for World War I in Nelson County, VA.
- In 1910, they were living in Middlesex Co., Virginia and in 1920, in Dinwiddie County.
- They had at least 3 children, all boys:
