On Saturday, November 7 at 6:30pm in the Sanctuary, Elisabeth von Trapp , granddaughter of Maria and Baron von Trapp who inspired the film The Sound of Music, will be performing a concert of sacred and secular music. She has performed all over the world and will be conducting a United Methodist Church Performance tour in Virginia during the fall of 2009. We are fortunate to be the only church she will visit in the Charlottesville area. The cost is free. It is first come first serve. If you are interested in at-tending, please call Ivy Creek UMC at 973-4793 and reserve your free tickets NOW! There will be a reception to follow in the Fellowship Hall. At that time you will have an opportunity to speak with Ms. Von Trapp and purchase one of her CD’s if you like. A love offering or donations will be accepted for her contribution to our community.
