Current Events

MAR 7:  PACEM Meeting between services at 10am.  Please plan to attend to plan our future
involvement with this organization.
MAR 9: Missions Team Meeting 6:30pm

MAR 10:  Sarah's Circle will host Rita Smith, Dietician from Martha Jefferson Hospital.  Her presentation will begin at 11:30am.  Please plan to gather by 11:15am and bring a salad to share with the group after the presentation.  Bring a friend!

MAR 13:  Move clocks FORWARD 1 hour!

MAR 16:  Trustees Meeting, 6:30pm
Education Meeting, 7pm

MAR 20:  Church Clean Up Day, 9am-12noon
MAR 22:  Nehemiah Assembly, University Hall, 6:15pm--Our goal is 60 members from Ivy Creek--PLAN TO BE THERE!

MAR 23: Christian Arts Academy Planning Meeting 6:30pm.  All persons interested in working with Christian Arts Academy are urged to attend.

MAR 27:  Church Clean Up Day,  All Day Projects starting at 9am
JUL 5:  Mission Trip to Marion, VA

The purpose of our Church Council is to create and manage the strategic plan for Ivy Creek. The church council aligns the activities and missions of Ivy Creek with our vision statement. They oversee both the administrative and spiritual life of Ivy Creek United Methodist Church.
In short, it is the decision making body of our church.

However, the work of the church council is primarily one of leadership rather than management. The task of leadership is visionary and forward looking while management of the church falls to committees which report to the church council. The composition of the church council is therefore made up of the chairpeople of the various committees of Ivy Creek as well as at large members who serve to better reflect the diviserty of our congregation.
