 Becky P. Marshall began serving as Director of Music for Ivy Creek UMC in August 2008. She earned her Bachelor of Fine Arts in Drama and Masters of Music in Vocal Performance from The Catholic University of America. She and her husband, Matthew Marshall a local composer of Silent Film scores, have resided in Charlottesville since 2001. Together they perform locally, teach as adjunct faculty members for The University of Virginia, and provide private lessons for piano & voice, and guitar, respectively.
In her role as Director of Music, she leads the Ivy Creek Chancel Choir, the Ivy Creek Handchimers Choir, and the congregation in music for both 8:30 and 11:00 am Sunday services. In addition, she coordinates special music programs throughout the church calendar year and instructs for our children’s summer program; The Arts Academy.
